The online shop pixiepixie.com is a quirky and slightly comical site “We have fairy clothing, YES! We have pixie clothing YES! We have fairy clothes that make you able to fly NO!”. I think that this makes the customer feel at ease and draws them in. The graphics are funky and bold and the range of clothing fits its target market perfectly. I personally love this style of festival, hippie clothing and would be very interested in the items they have to offer. The designs are fresh and unique and well displayed on their site. The list of garments available is clear and user friendly, and the photographs are well displayed, however I think it is a shame that some of the garments are presented on mannequins rather than life models, this does not really give a very good idea of what the items look like on the body. The product information is clear yet descriptive and images of different angles of the items are available to view, a zoom option is also in place. The customer can be confident on what they will actually receive.
Another disappointing aspect of the shop is that not all of the items listed are available, there are many sections to choose from but I was somewhat dissatisfied when the products they claim to sell were not available.
Overall I think this site could use a few improvements but I was generally impressed by the look and functions of this online shop. I would definitely consider buying garments from this company
I rate this shop 8/10.
‘Trendstop’ is a trend forecasting website for fashion students and creative professionals. The layout is professional, clear and concise “trendstop.com is a leading online trend forecasting and analysis service, renowned for the quality and accuracy of our trend analysis and trend forecasts.” The images are of high quality and there is an online tour available and many moving visuals.
The information available on this site is wide and detailed; pretty much every category from womenswear to predicted trends for next season is covered. I feel this site is a very useful one for anyone with an interest in the fashion world and industry.
The downside to this site is that it seems to be a little intimidating, although it is aimed at mainly professional clientele, fashion students such as myself could find the layout off putting and maybe a little pretentious.
Overall I feel that the good points definitely overshadow the bad as the sheer amount of information available seems to cover every angle of the fashion industry.
I rate this site 7/10

The blogsite for ‘fairylove clothing’ is quirky and pretty, I think it shows the designer behind the clothing very well, it is genuine and honest “It's a blustery sunny day in fairyland today and the workshop is peaceful and lovely!!! I am making lots of wings at the mo and really enjoying it!!”. The blog tells a detailed and in depth story of the designers progress, both of the company with options to leave feedback, and his life story. I really like this personal touch.
The photographs of his work are colourful and beautiful and show off his work perfectly. They really do his work justice.
The one main downside of this blog is that the author does detract away from the business side a little too much, there are pictures of parties and festivals which could make the viewer take the work less seriously. I think there should be more focus on the clothing and other products than the authors personal life, although as I said before, a little of this makes the blog pleasant to view. More of a balance would work well in my opinion.
Overall I do like this blogsite though I do think it could be a tad more business focussed and professional
I rate this site 7/10
